Book Review! East of West, Volume 1

When I first saw this title available through NetGalley I was intrigued, but somehow it never made it to the top of the pile.  As I was cleaning out my queue, I realized that not only had this been pushed to the bottom of the pile, but it had nearly slipped through the cracks completely.  Thankfully, I got to this in time to read it and I must say it was amazing!

East of West is not your typical dystopian-end-of-the-world-apocalyptic-western.  It is a story about revenge - plain and simple.  And this is probably why I loved it so much! (...and will be tracking down the remaining volumes as quickly as I can).

Without truly giving away any major plot points, the book starts off with the rebirth of the horseman...only one of them is missing: Death.  It isn't long before we come across him with two colleagues who are equally as intriguing.  Death is on a mission.  And the body count keeps rising.

I have read a lot of negative reviews on this title and I can't really fathom why.  Most do state that they were a bit confused.  I guess I've read way too many post-apocalyptic tales that the story line was quite obvious.  And I must say that I really enjoyed the alternate history angle as well.  This sets it apart from the rest.

I can't go into many details but suffice to say, this is an excellent read and one I highly recommend.  I've added links below so that you can go ahead and order your copies...
