Much like Brian Froud's Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book, In Search of Lost Dragons is a book that needs to be purchased in hard cover so that one can flip through the pages and admire the beautiful artwork and story within. I received a digital copy of this book to review and I have to say I am disappointed that I could only scroll on my computer. This is a book that demands to be held.
Honestly, I can't say that I actually read this book as much as I absorbed the beautiful paintings within. Yes, it is written to be a diary of one reporter's adventure, but about half way through, I couldn't help myself by skipping the written words and flipping to the next illustration. This is when I knew I needed to purchase a physical copy of the book so that I could randomly turn the pages and read what I wanted, when I wanted, and not go in any particular order. (oh the limitations of digital reading...)
If you love dragons and all things fantasy, or just love to look at beautiful illustrations, this is a definite "must have" book (in physical form please and thank you!).
